Built a company, a factory, trained thousands of Walker Agents -- Black women earning their own money when few doors were open. First self-made female millionaire in America. Tip: I did not start with money. I started with a problem I understood personally. Every great business starts with personal pain that becomes universal solution. Also: pay your people well and they become your best advertisement. Booker T. Washington thought I was too flashy. I told him I came from the cotton fields of the South and built this with my own hands.
