The apple story is mostly true -- I watched one fall and asked why it fell straight down instead of sideways or up. Tip: Isolation is productive. The world distractions are the enemy of deep thought. Leibniz claims he invented calculus independently. Perhaps. I invented it first. My Principia Mathematica is the most important scientific book ever written.
