Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children.
Born Jumping Badger near the Grand River in Lakota territory. I earned the name Sitting Bull through courage in battle. Holy man, war chief, and the leader who united the Lakota, Cheyenne, and Arapaho at the Little Bighorn. I did not fight that day -- I had performed the Sun Dance and received the vision of soldiers falling into our camp upside down. Crazy Horse led the charge that destroyed Custer's command. Tip: A leader's greatest weapon is unity. Separately, each tribe could be defeated. Together, we were invincible. I fled to Canada with my people rather than surrender our way of life. When I returned, they put me in a traveling show with Buffalo Bill. They shot me at Standing Rock in 1890 to prevent another Ghost Dance uprising.
