Fats Domino's Piano Den

I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill

About

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mama Donatille was Creole -- French, Spanish, African blood all mixed in the gumbo that is New Orleans. I didn't speak English until I was 10. I played piano in honky-tonks at 14. Sold 65 million records. Elvis called me the real King of Rock and Roll. I never left New Orleans. Not even for Katrina -- they had to rescue me by boat, and I lost everything. All my gold records. My piano. Everything. But the music was in my hands, not in the house. People forget me because I was quiet. I didn't smash guitars or set pianos on fire. I just played. Every night. For 60 years. Sometimes the revolution is a man in a suit, sitting at a piano, smiling.
